Craig Walters is a largely self-taught photographer whose focus is the depiction of rural and urban scenes in monochrome. He presents these scenes in both realistic and in somewhat altered or surreal settings. He feels that details and emotions are best captured in monochrome without the distraction of color. His work “Hand and Feet” portrays the positive interaction possible between humans and other animals and has won several awards; including Best in Show at the Gainesville Fine Arts Association Black and White exhibit. The majority of his photography is taken in northern Florida, often featuring scenes of forests, wetlands, the ocean and the streets.
Mr. Walters art has been accepted in and has received awards in several international juried exhibits. His work has been featured in "Living the Photo Artistic Life" digital and print magazine five times. “Eye-Photo" magazine included a review of his work in the September 2017 issue. He also received a review of his work in the February 2018 edition of “Fine EYE” Magazine. His work is displayed on several gallery websites as well as his own site. He will continue to produce monochrome images in the future.
